Start With The End In Mind
Taking the time to have a crystal clear vision of what you desire your life to look like in the future takes plenty of effort. But it's a crucial step often overlooked. We have some tools and tips to help you get started.
One simple yet effective exercise is start from the end and work backwards, for example, how old do you think you'll be when you pass away (eg. you might say somewhere around 85 years of age?
1. Physical Health - how do you want to feel, what is your appearance, what you want to be able to do at that age?
2. Financially - what position would you like to be in when you're elderly, what do you want to bequeath to your estate?
3. Mental Health - what state of mental health do you expect to be in, what will your passions be and will they continue?
4. Family Relationships - how do you want to reflect upon your family, and how you would desire your relationship with them to look like?
Finally, the most important question, what would you say on the life that you have lived?
Once you have thought about these questions and hopefully wrote down some answers, take some time now to consider what actions you need so as to achieve the life you want to live in the future.
It may be the case that you need to make some changes. Money is likely to be a crucial aspect in facilitating some of these goals.
